Meet the Team

Kimberly C. Heath, M.A. Ed., BCBA, LBA

Kim Heath holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and a master’s degree in Special Education Curriculum and Instruction, both from the College of William & Mary. She and her husband raised their three children in the Newport News and Williamsburg area, where Kim spent many years working as a special education teacher in both public and private schools.

Her career shifted when she became Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the Peninsula School for Autism. It was there that Kim discovered the transformative power of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Witnessing firsthand the profound impact ABA had on students, Kim knew she had found her calling. She returned to school - one final time - completing her supervision practicum and earning a post-master’s certificate in ABA through a consortium with George Mason University.

Kim is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is licensed to practice behavior analysis by the Virginia Board of Medicine. She has worked with children of all ages across home, school, clinic, and community settings. Her clinical focus includes developing language and functional

communication, teaching personal care and self-help skills, and building social and executive functioning skills in children and young adults.

A passionate advocate for her clients, Kim believes every child deserves the opportunity to begin school in the least restrictive environment, and once there, to make meaningful, measurable progress. She is committed to meeting each family where they are on their autism journey, equipping them with the tools and support they need to build a brighter future.

L. Caitlin Heath, M.A., BCBA, LBA

Caitlin Heath is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and serves as the Clinical Director at A Better Day ABA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University.

Caitlin has been working in the field of ABA since 2018, driven by a lifelong love of working with children and a deep appreciation for the impact early intervention can have, not just on a

child, but on the entire family. Having witnessed this firsthand from a young age, she is passionate about celebrating every milestone, no matter how big or small, alongside the families she supports.

A strong advocate for “ABA done right,” Caitlin believes therapy should always be individualized, compassionate, and, most importantly, fun. As Clinical Director, she leads with both clinical expertise and a playful spirit. Whether she’s starting a spontaneous dance party, playing hide and seek, or chasing giggling kids while pretending to eat their “stinky feet,” Caitlin brings energy, joy, and heart to everything she does.

Her mission is to ensure that every child at A Better Day ABA feels seen, supported, and excited to learn- because progress happens best when it’s paired with play.

C. Rae Steuber, M.A., BCBA, LBA

Rae Steuber works as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Supervisor at A Better Day ABA. She joined Team Heath in June 2024 after meeting Caitlin through a previous job and discovering that they shared a strong passion for working with children and the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Rae received her undergraduate degree in 2015 from the University of Virginia, where she studied Psychology with a concentration in Childhood Development. Following graduation, like many young graduates do, Rae stared into the void, desperately trying to figure out what to do with her life. She knew she liked working with kids and helping others; this combination led her to accept a job in the field of ABA, and thus began her post-graduate journey.  Later, she went on to attain a master's degree in ABA from the University of Arizona and completed all requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Rae believes that every child’s potential is worth fighting for, and she strives to provide her clients and their families with the best individualized, effective care. She also believes that every child should be given opportunities to grow, learn, and succeed without judgment or fear. Rae is committed to creating safe and comfortable spaces for her clients where learning can be fun. She takes on the role of the silliest goose in the pond and will do anything she can to earn a smile or laugh from her clients.
